Director of Business Development
Credit Sesame is looking for a business development executive with extensive experience in securing partnerships with issuers and publishers in the consumer finance space and financial verticals such as credit cards, consumer loans, mortgages, etc. The position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the growth strategy and execution of the business objectives in chosen financial verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth of the Company’s business in financial verticals such as credit cards, consumer loans and other financial verticals
- Prospect and evaluate new distribution, partnership and revenue opportunities
- Develop new business relationships with issuers and advertisers
- Negotiate business terms and agreements with partners
- Manage and grow existing partnerships
- Ensure product compliance with partner marketing guidelines
- Help optimize performance of partnerships and financial verticals
- Scope projects and work cross functionally to bring new opportunities to life
- Develop the business case and forecast for new partnership opportunities
- Report partnership performance to the CEO and the rest of the management team
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience and relationships with issuers and advertisers in financial verticals such as credit cards, consumer loans, mortgage, insurance, etc.
- Experience in business development, lead generation, affiliate and partnership marketing, and Consumer Finance expertise.
- Experience with acquisition models: CPL, CPA, CPC, CPM.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into plans and actionable objectives.
- Strong sales and negotiating skills
- Strong communications skills
- Self-starter

Email Marketing Manager
Credit Sesame is looking for a seasoned email marketing manager to drive user engagement and associated revenue for its online web service and mobile apps . The marketing manager will be responsible for planning, strategy and implementation of successful email campaigns, including content, creative, testing, reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate has a mix of analytical and quantitative skills, experience with large lists, customer segmentation and targeting, a proven track record of consumer email marketing success and coming up with innovative ways to retain, engage and monetize users.
As our email marketing manager you will have the opportunity to take our email communication to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Develop email marketing strategies, audience segmentation, design and test plans and implement email marketing campaigns to increase engagement and grow revenue
- Work cross functionally with the product, design and content teams to create varying messaging and email deployment strategies for aging vs. new customers
- Monitor, analyze and report on email performance vs. goals to the executive team
- Identify, test and implement new opportunities to improve conversion and customer satisfaction via email communications
- Coordinate with internal/external teams to develop campaigns, briefs, effective designs and landing experiences for email initiatives
- Maintain email best practices including browser/client compatibility, appearance of subject lines, use of images
- Monitor and minimize unsubscribe/bounce/complaint rates and ensure spam regulation compliance (e.g. CAN-SPAM)
- Analyze email marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously optimize email programs, including key components of each campaign, such as lists, offers, messaging, creative, deliverability, open rates, click through rates, conversion
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to continuously improve email strategy and drive higher returns
- Own management and administration of email platform, SendGrid
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of proven and successful consumer email marketing experience
- A bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, communication studies or a related major
- Exceptional work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize
- Strong strategic, analytical and quantitative skills
- Outstanding written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML preferred
- Prior experience with financial technology industry is a plus
- Experience with segmentation and targeting
- Experience with database management and list creation
- Must be a detail-oriented team player with strong organization skills and ability to work independently
