Mobile Marketing Manager

Our vision is to put our app and mobile experience at the center of how our customers view and interact with their credit and debt information. Over half of our users already access our services via the app, and the feedback has been phenomenal. We want to expand on this success by having a new team member focus on growing this channel and the app adoption. We are looking for online marketing experts who share our passion for delivering the very best mobile experience and changing the game for the credit industry. The position reports to the Director of Acquisition Marketing.


Responsibilities:

We offer our app to users of iPhone, iPad, Android and Kindle Fire devices in addition to the mobile web.

At Credit Sesame, as the Mobile Marketing Manager you will play a vital role in acquiring mobile users and increasing engagement with existing customers. You will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that we deliver best-in-class acquisition campaigns, user engagement, and tracking capabilities. You will help develop the mobile strategy with the goal of growing the channel and optimizing budgets. You will manage mobile programs to meet the ROI objectives and recommend tactics that will increase their efficiency and scale. Other responsibilities include:



  • Champion mobile acquisition and engagement programs
  • Manage channel budgets and tactics to meet campaign ROI targets
  • Track and analyze channel results and improve performance based on learnings
  • Assist in the budget and forecast process for mobile channel
  • Create designs that make the complex simple
  • Work with design team to create and test mobile creative
  • Assist in the budget and forecast process for mobile channel


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience in a consumer-focused company with a demonstrated track record of executing mobile or online marketing campaign
  • Understanding of marketing ROI and how to calculate user profitability based on CPI, CPC, CPM investment
  • Strong analytic skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Passion for Personal Finance space preferred

Acquisition Marketing Manager

We are looking for an acquisition marketing expert who can not only optimize existing campaigns, but has a history of scaling acquisition programs by finding and testing new sources of traffic. You need to be hands-on, data driven, experienced with guerilla marketing tactics, and able to work well across departments. The position reports to the Director of Acquisition Marketing.


Responsibilities:

Your job will change every day, but your goal will remain the same: finding scalable ways to increase the number of Credit Sesame users, in a cost-effective way. To that end, you should be comfortable running digital campaigns (PPC, display, retargeting, affiliates, lead gen) and being accountable for their success. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring your guerilla marketing experience to the forefront, helping us acquire users in ways we haven’t tried before. You’ll dig into data to understand performance, you’ll prioritize improvements and new opportunities, and you’ll find ways to scale campaigns to generate lots of happy customers. You will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that we deliver best-in-class acquisition campaigns, user engagement, and tracking capabilities. You will help develop the acquisition strategy with the goal of growing the channels and optimizing budgets. You will manage programs to meet the ROI objectives and recommend tactics that will increase their efficiency and scale. Other responsibilities include:



  • Define and manage end-to-end integrated marketing programs
  • Find new ways to scale acquisition efforts, with a bias toward guerilla marketing tactics with high yield
  • Understand target market and its needs
  • Manage channel budgets and tactics to meet campaign ROI targets
  • Track and analyze channel results and improve performance based on learnings
  • test and optimize conversion paths
  • Report on successes and challenges of marketing campaigns, analyzing them and optimizing them based on data.
  • Find new ways to scale acquisition efforts
  • Seek new publishers, leveraging your experience picking and choosing new partnerships


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree with an understanding of consumer financial products and services is preferred
  • 3-5 years of online acquisition marketing experience in a consumer-focused company with a demonstrated track record of executing online marketing campaigns
  • An aptitude for both tradition and new digital media (blogs, social networks, mobile apps)
  • Understanding of marketing ROI and how to calculate user profitability based on CPI, CPC, CPM investment
  • Strong analytic skills and proficiency in Excel, with a keen ability to articulate results and learning
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Deep experience with Google Analytics is preferred
  • Passion for Personal Finance space preferred

Senior/Lead Java Backend Web Engineer

We are looking for a passionate, highly skilled Lead Java backend web engineer to develop features for our leading online personal finance website.

Our Software Environment:

  • Hosted, web-based application accessed via web browsers and mobile devices/li>
  • Java and JavaScript: J2EE, Spring, Hibernate (JPA2), JQuery
  • Mostly open-source: Ubuntu Linux, MySQL, MongoDb
  • Fast-paced, rapid-release, agile environment


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and scale new and existing consumer website features
  • Be a true partner in defining the solutions, have and develop business acumen and bring technical perspective in furthering the product and business
  • Estimate engineering effort; plan implementation of optimizing prototypes into production code and lead small execution teams
  • Deliver clear, well-communicated and complete design documents
  • Develop exemplary and thoroughly tested code for the most challenging aspects of the product or product sub-systems
  • Perform quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging and production environments
  • Collaborate effectively with other technology teams and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently and deliver on aggressive goals

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate should have 7+ years experience in large-scale software development. Have a strong cross-functional technical background, excellent written/oral communication skills, and a willingness and capacity to expand their leadership and technical skills. Ability to interface with multiple diverse stakeholders and an appreciation for working in an Operations environment is required. The candidate should be able to take initiative and work independently; however, collaboration, as part of a uniquely qualified team is required
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in building analytics using statistical functions
  • Experience deploying high performance systems to the cloud
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement

User Experience and Interaction Designer

We are looking for a creative UX/UI Designer to join our growing product team. This is an exciting position for someone looking to have a significant impact on a growing business. The position reports to the Head of Product.

Responsibilities:

  • Create simple, clean designs that convey complex financial information which are intuitive and easy to understand
  • Create pixel-perfect design guides that include flows, wireframes, prototypes and annotated mocks
  • Gather product requirements, technical constraints, user research and web analytics into efficient design solutions
  • Lead user experience research and product design testing
  • Collaborate with internal design, product management, engineering and marketing team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of UX design experience (consumer internet and/or consumer finance experience a plus)
  • Experience with customer development and interviews
  • Experience on Mobile Web and/or App design preferred
  • Experience with fast-paced agile processes preferred
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and any the prototyping tools of your choice
  • Interest in and experience with credit and debt preferred (okay to be personal experience)
  • Understanding of latest UX design trends and developments
