In support of this mission, we want to promote financial literacy for students. Credit Sesame is proud to offer the Financial Literacy Scholarship for students interested in building a sound financial future.
Application Details
To apply, students must meet the minimum eligibility requirements and complete the online scholarship application by the deadline listed below.
Credit Sesame will select two scholarship recipients during the 2019 - 2020 academic year. Each scholarship period, Credit Sesame will select one (1) individual who demonstrates a passion for financial literacy to receive a $2,500 scholarship toward their higher education tuition.
In addition to the check awarded to the recipient’s college or university, the recipient will receive two free subscriptions to Credit Sesame’s Platform Protection product (one for the recipient and one to share with someone who is also passionate about their financial future).
- Must be entering or enrolled as a full time student at an accredited 2-year, 4-year, or technical/vocational college or university in the United States. See Official Rules.
- Open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and professional students with at least one full academic year remaining in their relevant program.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Open to students from all states.
- Must have an overall average Grade Point Average (“GPA”) of 3.0 at the time the application is submitted.
- Scholarship recipient must provide both enrollment and unofficial transcript verification.
- All application questions must be answered fully.
- Essay must be written in English only.
$2,500 Financial Literacy Scholarship Application
Credit Sesame will select two scholarship recipients during the 2019 - 2020 academic year. Applications for the second scholarship round must be received by 11:59 PM PST on April 30, 2020. Scholarship recipients will be selected and notified within sixty (60) days of the application deadline.

For each application period (two per year), Credit Sesame will award one (1) individual passionate about financial literacy with a $2,500 scholarship toward their higher educational tuition. Ideal recipients are those who are seriously committed to learning and passionate about financial literacy. Applications will be judged based on the following criteria: GPA, written communication skills, commitment to financial literacy, personal credit management, academic ability, and overall application strength.
The recipient of the scholarship will be notified via email/phone within sixty (60) days of the application deadline.
Credit Sesame will select two scholarship recipients during the 2019 - 2020 academic year. Applications for the second scholarship round must be received by 11:59 PM PST on April 30, 2020.
Once the recipient has been selected and verified, a check will be sent to the recipient’s academic institution. No scholarship monies will be awarded directly to the student. Please see Official Rules.
